Top 10 Completed Fics ~ Announcement

After more than 10 years, 139 polls and countless fantastic stories, the polls to find TwiFanfictionRecs’ Top 10 fics completed each month/year have come to an end.

Over the last few months, we have struggled to gain enough votes to keep the polls viable so it is with a heavy heart that the decision has been made to bring the polls to a close.

I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to nominate and vote for their favourite fics since June 2012. I, for one, have discovered a plethora of fabulous fics and writers which I will continue to read and follow.

Quick links have been added to the menus on the right to help you find No.1 fics, Top 10 fics and archived Top 10 poll results.

In the meantime, I hope to catch up on the many stories patiently waiting to be added to the blog, so don’t miss out, make sure you are following us to receive fic recs direct to your inbox.

  1. I’m so sorry to see the polls go. When I still had time to actively write, it was an honor to be nominated. Now that I’m just a reader, they were my main source of new reading material. Thanks for all the work you put into this site and I’ll still use this site a lot to find stories by genre etc.

  2. This sucks but I totally understand. You’ve put so much of your time and work creating this site, I was constantly browsing it for new ff to read, and I’m ashamed to say I’ve never voted. I wish I could reverse the time…

  4. It’s such a shame to see the top 10 poll coming to its end! Now I feel guilty for not participating in voting but it wasn’t like I wasn’t interested. I happen to prefer longer stories and every time a new batch of nominated FFs was up I decided to read some of the long ones as first. As a result I had always managed to finish only a few of the stories before the poll was closed and I thought it would be unfair to the other authors If I voted for the one story I read while not knowing if it really was the best or not. So for me it wasn’t the poll itself I was looking forward to but the actual list of all finished fan fictions for that specific month. I was always looking forward to a new list of FFs with links and summaries and even though I knew I didn’t have time to read them all, I always saved the list for the future. And this is the reason why I appreciate this site so much and all the hard work you have done. It’s not an easy job keep tabs on all finished stories and you really do a wonderful job in that matter.

  5. I’m so sorry to see this end, but I understand the time and effort it takes to continue, especially without getting many responses. I’ve discovered many great fics and authors through the polls and I thank you for all your hard work over the last decade plus! This will be missed!

  7. It’s so sad, but understandable. I have always used the polls to add to my TBR list and I keep this site opened in my browser to look for other stories as well. This is my GO TO for my twilight addiction!

    Thank you so much for all you do and continue to do. You have all been a lifesaver on more than one occasion. 😉
